According to senior Mac students, it has been (can't you tell I'm already wishing it's over?) a mild winter... but no complaints here! Although I can deal with the cold, I'm pretty sensitive to it, and putting on my heaviest layers day after day can get tedious. Also for those who care, it can be hard to show off your fashion sense when you're bundled up so much that barely any skin is exposed. But that wasn't really an issue for me this year...
During the process of applying to Mac, I was told by a student that I should bring several pairs of long underwear. I haven't touched mine once! Also, I haven't worn my winter jacket since I left Mac for winter break in December (the coldest it got was -15ºF with the windchill). Now, I probably just lucked out this year, and next winter could be much more intense, but I'm ignoring that thought for now and enjoying the warmth and sunshine. Temperatures have slowly been creeping up over the past few weeks, and I feel like spring is just around the corner. Other students seem to agree, and are gradually stirring from their winter hibernation. I actually saw two students playing Frisbee in the snow today! It was a nice reminder of what's to come. Although winter can be drab, the snow looks pretty and is fun to play in. But best of all, winter makes you look forward to spring.
obligatory shout-out to Beth and Elizabeth on T3! =)
